HRI is an independent commercial furniture dealer based in High Point, NC. Founded as  Hughes-Rankin Company in 1949 by Lloyd Hughes and Ed Rankin, the organization became  a pioneer in providing high-quality furniture to schools and universities across the state of  North Carolina.

In 2001, Hughes-Rankin was purchased by Robert Cecil. Mr. Cecil’s experience in  commercial furniture manufacturing, marketing and sales created a perfect fit to continue the  company’s success in the education market and helped expand into all segments of the  commercial furniture industry. HRI enjoys a stellar reputation among its many clients and  manufacturing partners. We look forward to the opportunities ahead as our team approaches  75 years of continuous operation.
